2 Nephi 25:23 - "After All We Can Do"

There's a publication called " 2 Nephi 25:23 in Literary and Rhetorical Context " which presents a very intriguging argument for the interpretation of the phrase "after all we can do". That verse is as follows: For we labor diligently to write, to  a persuade  our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we  know that it is by  b grace  that we are saved, after all we can  c do . The paper argues that it should best be translated "despite all we can do" based on the interpretation of that phrase in and around 1830.
